This expedition-style journey takes us from Almaty to one of the most remote and breathtaking locations in Kyrgyzstan — Lake Kel-Suu, situated in a restricted border area near China.
The group meets at the Respublika 13 parking area (Satpaev & Zheltoksan intersection).
We then depart towards the Korday border crossing and cross from Kazakhstan into Kyrgyzstan.
After the border crossing, we make a short snack stop and continue towards the scenic Boom Gorge, where we stop for breakfast at a roadside café and refuel our SUVs.
The next stage of the route leads to the city of Naryn. Here, we collect all required border permits to access the restricted zone near the China border and prepare for the final part of the journey.
From Naryn, we continue towards Lake Kel-Suu via the village of Akmuz. Along the way, we enjoy boxed lunches, pass two border checkpoints, and drive through the stunning Aksai River valley.
By evening, we arrive near Lake Kel-Suu.
Accommodation in traditional yurts, dinner, and free time to relax, walk around, and enjoy the silence of the mountains.
